Today for my wine class we went to the organic wine store. This is a little mom and pop store that the little old lady and her husband have homemade wine. It is the best wine i have ever tasted! And....its only like $3 a bottle and you can come back with the bottle anytime you want and refill it for like $2!!!
This is their little pumps that the wine comes out of! The Cabernet Franc is the most amazing wine!
This is the couple that owns it. She is the most adorable little woman ever! Her husband doesnt speak a lick of English so she talks mostly. But she is hilarious! she was telling us about her gurdle and how it was hurting her back so she just had to take it off for the day! haha sha! Shes a trip! always has a new story!
Later that night we went to cooking class. It was pretty kool we went to this like culinary school and had little seperate stations that we got to make our food at.
Our group getting ready to begin prepping. It was a little more intense than we thought! everything was from scratch! we made everything from dough to custard. It was really kool. Our teacher was hilarious! He was cutting up big time!
Our eggplant medalione. It was eggplant with a cheese zuchinni n potatoe stuffing! i dont really like food picks but have to show what we cooked!
Our spinach and cheese ravioli in a butter garlic sauce. This was a super long process! Props for the chefs out there. We had to pound the dough and put it through the machine over and over like nine times. It was really interesting to see the process though.
This was our dessert. It was a custard with a strawberry sauce on top. Looks like a big jello shot but its a little piece of heaven.
Then we went into the wine cellar downstairs and got to eat our meal we had cooked. The eggplant...amazing! the ravioli was good too! not big on ravioli but it was good! and as for that dessert.. awesome! It was so good! dont worry guys i have the recipe for all of it! i made it again already! haha
