Capri.....

Warning these are going to be long posts! There was so much to see!

Arriving in Capri, a little island off the coast of Sorrento, Italy. We all got onto the Grotto Azzurra tour boat for a tour of the island from the coast!

Heather and I with the town of Capri in the background.
Oh yeh thats me! I let them borrow it for the day!The view of the island from right off of the coast! It was beautiful! and the water was turquoise! and you could see clear to the bottom!

Our Tour Boat!
Ali, Maggie, Heather, and I getting ready to go into the Blue Grotto.

This was our little boat we had to take into the Grotto because the opening was to small for a boat.

I underexaggerated a little......we had to lay completely flat on our backs in the bottom of the boat so we could fit through the whole to get into the cave! It was crazy but so fun!
This is inside of the Blue Grotto. It is amazing! There is something to do with the way that the sun hits the water right outside the whole that makes the entire water glow as if there is a light underneath it! It was amazing! I really couldnt believe it!

This is the wall of the cave and I took the flash off! The water was just glowing! You can see a few jelly fish in there too..kinda neat!

Heather and I inside the cave...I turned the flash back on! see how the water is dark with the flash! Ahh it was so amazing to see!

The only light house! Wish we could have gone up to the top of it!

Love this picture! Just a little man on his row boat going around the island! Picture perfect! looks like it would be in a guys bathroom!

This is the Green Grotto. There were three Grottos on the island. This one is considered the "green grotto" because the way the water reflects on the rock it shows the color green!

The cliffs along the coast were amazing! There were huge and so pretty!

Love this picture..going to have to crop out adria's hair though! Michelle you got that! blur it!

The middle one in the picture above we rode through it on the boat! It was so pretty!
As you are going through this arch you are supposed to kiss the one you love! Our tour guide did a countdown and this is the exact moment when you are supposed to kiss... when you are directly below it!

This is the third Grotto! The White Grotto. It is called this because the walls surrounding it are white!
This is the rock that faces the side of the island that you depart from. This little statue is a man waving saying "Caio" to the guests that visited!

We made it back to the island and had lunch at the little cafe Bar Gratta Azzurra! It was very good! the Bruschetta..Mmm!

This was the taxi cab for the island! Old school! love it! nothing like a homemade convertible!

The girls on the pebble beach of Capri! The water was basically see through!

This was the view from the beach! Absolutely beautiful!
Now this..... I was taking a picture of the mountains then when i uploaded them i noticed the Italian couple kissing on the rocks!haha woops! well they do say this is the country of love!
The sunset off the back of the ferry! Beautiful!Caio Capri!
The sunset at the dock of Sorrento! Its kool how the sign came out in this pitcure!
One without the sign!
Flower of the day. Simple but still beautiful!
The train to take you around Sorrento! Very kool looked like an old time train!
Dinner in our hotel! Real Italian food by a little Italian man that owns the hotel and is the chef! Cutest little man ever!
After dinner the girls and I went sit on our balcony and drank wine and talked about the day we had! We had so much fun! Interesting talk and just cutting up! Perfect day!

  2. You are so Blessed..How beautiful you look..Now you know that no matter how you try to describe it, it's no where near being there. I am really so happy that you are experiencing Europe. Now you know why Candice left for one month and stayed seven.
    Be safe
